About Joachim Low
Joachim Loew took over management of the German National Soccer Team in 2006 and has since led them to a win in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Low got his start in pro soccer as a player with SC Freilburg in 1978 and played for eight different club over the next 17 years from 1978 to 1995. After his retirement he was named manager of FC Frauenfeld and then took over management of VFB Stuttgart, Fenerbahce, Karlsuher SC, Adanaspor, FC Tirol Innsbruck, and FK Austria Wien before being named assistant manager of the German National Team in 2004. During that time he notched 80 wins to just 17 losses and his teams outscored their opponents by a margin of 290 to 113. Prior to helping the German team to a win in the 2014 FIFA World Cup he helped them to a third place finish in the 2010 World Cup, a runnerup finish in the UEFA European Championship and a third place finish in 2012. In 2014 he was named the German Football Manager of the Year.
