About Jimbo Fisher
Jimbo Fisher is currently the head football coach at Texas A&M. He led the Florida State Seminoles to a BCS National Championship in 2013 and three consecutive ACC Championships from 2012 to 2014. Fisher got his start in football as a youngster and went on to earn NCAA Division III National Player of the Year honors while playing quarterback at Samford University. Upon earning his degree from Samford he played one year in the Arena Football League with the Chicago Bruisers in 1988 before returning to Samford as a graduate assistant coach. From 1991 to 1992 he served as the offensive coordinator at Samford before heading to Auburn as the quarterbacks coach from 1993 to 1998. After one year at Cincinnati as the offensive coordinator he headed to LSU for six years as the Tigers offensive coordinator from 2000 to 2006. In 2007 legendary FSU head coach Bobby Bowden hired him to lead the Seminoles offense, and eventually he would take Bowden’s place as head coach in 2010. Since taking over the Noles he has led them to unprecedented success, winning 29 consecutive games from 2012 to 2014 and back-to-back undefeated regular seasons in 2013 and 2014.
