About Jim Zorn
Jim Zorn is one of the most successful football coaches in history, having coached at the college and professional levels for over two decades after a successful 12 year playing career in the NFL. Zorn got his start in the NFL as a quarterback with the Dallas Cowboys in 1975. He’d go on to earn Second Team All-Pro honors while playing with the Seahawks in 1978 and see time with the Green Bay Packers before ending his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1987. Upon retiring from the NFL with 21,115 career passing yards and 111 career touchdown passes he took a job as an assistant coach at Boise State University. From 1988 to 1996 he served as an assistant at Boise State, Utah State and Minnesota before returning to the NFL as an offensive assistant with the Seattle Seahawks in 1997, the Detroit Lions quarterbacks coach from 1998 to 2000. In 2001 he returned to the Seahawks as their quarterbacks coach and served in that role until being hired as the head coach of the Washington Redskins in 2008. After two seasons with the Redskins he finished up his career as the quarterbacks coach for the Baltimore Ravens in 2010 and Kansas City Chiefs from 2011 to 2012. Zorn is a member of the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor and the State of Washington Sports Hall of Fame.
