About Jeremy Abbott
Jeremy Abbott was born in Aspen, Colorado and began skating at the age of two. Over the years it became evident that he was capable of becoming one of the best figure skaters in the world. After moving to Colorado Springs he began training extensively as a solo competitor and won the junior national title at the 2005 U.S Championships. The following year he won the 2006 Finlandia Trophy, which set the stage for a bronze medal performance at the 2007 Four Continents Championships and his gold medal performance at the 2008-09 Grand Prix Final. In 2011 he won another bronze at the 2011 Taipei City Four Continents Championships and then competed in the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, where he won a bronze medal in the team event and realized a lifelong dream of standing on an Olympic podium. Abbott is a four-time United States Champion and continues to train for another shot at Olympic gold in 2016.
