Jeff Luhnow Biography

Jeff Luhnow became the general manager of the Houston Astros in 2011. He has remade the organization and made them an annual postseason contender. The Astros made the playoffs in 2015 for the first time in a decade. Luhnow's first draft pick as Astros GM, Carlos Correa, has become a superstar. Before joining Houston, Luhnow was with the St. Louis Cardinals for eight years. He spent time as vice president of baseball development, vice president of player procurement and vice president scouting and player development. Before getting into baseball, Luhnow founded Archetype Solutions. He also spent time as the general manager and vice president of marketing at Petstore.com. He worked at McKinsey and Company for five years. Luhnow holds a bachelor's degree at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Northwestern University.
