About Jeff Lebo
Jeff Lebo played his college basketball at the University of North Carolina from 1985 to 1989 after earning McDonald’s All-American honors at Carlisle High School in Pennsylvania. After earning his degree from UNC he immediately began his coaching career at East Tennessee State University as an assistant coach. Coach Lebo stayed at East Tennessee until he was hired as an assistant at Vanderbilt in 1992. After one season at Vanderbilt he headed to the University of South Carolina for five seasons from 1993 to 1998. After the 1998 season he earned his first headcoaching gig at Tennessee Tech University. During four seasons at Tennessee Tech he led his team to 75 wins and consecutive Ohio Valley Conference titles in 2001 and 2002. In 2002 he headed to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and led his team to 21 wins in his first season and 19 in his second, earning him the head coaching job at Auburn University in 2004. Over six seasons with the Tigers his team’s won 96 games, including a stellar 24 win season in 2009. In 2010 the East Carolina Pirates named him their new head coach. He spent over seven seasons guiding ECU and led them to a CIT Championship in 2013.
