Jeff Lageman has a history in the sport of football as a former player and current sports commentator. As a Fairfax, Virginia native born in 1967, he pursed a career in college football as a Cavalier at the University of Virginia. Post-college, Lageman was selected in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He played half of his decade-long career as a defensive end for the Jets and the other half as a defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lageman retired from the sport in 1998 and focused on his hobbies of fishing and hunting. He then focused this interest towards the television and radio world as he became a broadcaster for a radio show titled “The Outdoors Show”. Later redirecting this newly discovered passion for broadcasting towards his long-time passion for sports, Lageman joined the play-by-play man in the booth of the Jaguars Radio Network as the color analyst. He also serves as a co-host of the weekly “Jaguars This Week” radio show and is a cast member of the weekly television program entitled Jaguars All Access. Lageman will always be remembered and respected for his 157 tackles and 47 sacks in the NFL, along with his sports broadcasting personality for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
