About Jayson Tatum
The Boston Celtics originally selected Jayson Tatum with the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. He established himself as one of the top prospects for the 2017Draft during his one season in college basketball at Duke University. After averaging 16.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, Tatum was named to the All-ACC third team and the ACC All-Freshman team. He was instrumental in the Blue Devils run as a five seed to win the ACC Tournament. Tatum came to Durham via Chaminade College Prep in St. Louis Missouri. He was considered a consensus five-star prospect coming out of high school. During his time at Chaminade, the program won two Missouri Class 5A state championships. As a senior, he was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year and a McDonald's All-American.
