About Jay Cutler
Jay Cutler is a native of Santa Claus, Indiana, which is fitting because he was truly blessed with a gift, a gift to play the game of football that is. As a high school quarterback he led Heritage High School to a 29-1 record in three years as a starting quarterback and two State Championships. He was also a standout prep basketball and baseball player. After high school he headed to Vanderbilt and earned SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2005. Heading into the 2006 NFL Draft he was the top quarterback in the draft class and ultimately landed a spot in Denver as a first round pick. From 2006 to 2008 he was the face of the Denver Broncos franchise, and led the AFC in passing yards in 2008 in route to earning his first Pro Bowl selection. In 2009 he was traded to the Chicago Bears where he flourished as the Windy City’s man under center. Cutler was the Bears starter for eight seasons before playing with the Miami Dolphins in his final year. Over his 12-year career, he passed for over 35,000 yards and 227 touchdowns and posted a consistent passer rating of 85.3.
