About Jason Avant
Jason Avant was a first-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006 out of the University of Michigan. While playing at Michigan he earned honorable mention All-American honors and was nominated for the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nations top receiver. In 2006 he joined the Eagles as a sixth-round pick and became an instant impact player, utilizing his toughness, leadership and great hands to the benefit of his team. In 2010 he was awarded the Ed Block Courage award for his sportsmanship, courage and example throughout his career. After that season he signed a five-year extension with the Eagles and went on to play one year with the Carolina Panthers before heading to Kansas City to play for the Chiefs in 2014.
