About James Harrison
James Harrison is widely considered to be the most dominant linebackers of his era. Although he was not drafted out of Kent State University in 2002, due to the fact that NFL Scouts thought he was too short to play pro football, he would eventually work his way into a starting role with the Pittsburgh Steelers and become a force on the defensive side of the ball for more than a decade. From 2007 to 2011 he earned five Pro-Bowl selections and was named the NFL and AFC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008. Not too bad for an undrafted player that spent two seasons on the Steelers practice squad. In 2014 he retired with 647 tackles, 66 sacks, 29 forced fumbles and six interceptions. His most notable interception came in Super Bowl XLIII when he set an NFL record with a 100-yard inception return for a touchdown. Known for his bone crushing hits, tenacity and leadership, Harrison is remembered as one of the best all-around defensive players in history.
