About Jake Long
Jake Edward Long was a offensive tackle in the NFL. Long, a Michigan native born in 1985, was the first player in his high school’s history to earn the all-state “Dream Team” honors. He went on to play for the University of Michigan, where he was redshirted for a year before becoming the starting offensive tackle the following year. He was the Big-Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year in both 2006 and 2007, along with many other notable accomplishments. He was ultimately drafted as the first overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. The Miami Dolphins were the lucky ones, keeping Long through the 2012 season after which he was traded to the St. Louis Rams. He made four straight Pro Bowls with the Dolphins from 2008-11.
