Ines Sainz is a journalist who hosts DxTips and Azteca Deportes. Prior to her journalism career, Sainz was a tomboy growing up and she was involved in multiple sports. When she was 14, she earned her black belt in taekwondo, but her mother wanted her to be more feminine so she entered modeling. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in tax law, Sainz received a graduate degree in sports business management. In her professional career, Sainz has interviewed many players from a variety of sports such as; Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Lionel Messi. By 2006, Sainz had covered four NBA Championships, three Championship League tournaments, the 2004 Olympics and the 2006 World Cup. She has also covered six Super Bowls. In November 2010, Sainz was hired by the boxing promotion company Top Rank to conduct pre-event reports and interviews of the boxers.
