Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Jim Duggan is a retired professional wrestler, currently working with the WWE under a Legends contract. Duggan began his wrestling career in 1979, and was eventually signed by the WWF 1987, debuting as “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, an American Patriot. Early in his career, Duggan was involved in several high profile matches, and competed in the first ever WWF Royal Rumble in 1988, winning the event as the 13th entrant. Although he never won any major championships with the WWF, Duggan quickly became a fan favorite due to his American Patriot persona, and was featured in many high profile matches. In 1994, Duggan left the WWF to join WCW, immediately winning the United States Championship from Steve Austin in his debut. Over the years in WCW, he would go on to be a main event star, and would become the World Television Champion, holding it until it was deactivated. After the WWF bought WCW in 2001, Duggan began working the independent circuits, eventually returning to the WWF (Now WWE) in 2005 on a part time basis. Duggan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, and sometimes appears on WWE television to this day.
