Greg Zuerlein

Greg Zuerlein is a kicker for the New York Jets. Zuerlein is known for having one of the strongest legs in NFL history. Prior to entering the pro ranks, Zuerlein started his college career at the University of Nebraska Omaha. He made 61 straight PATs, which is a UNO school record. When the school canceled its football program, Zuerlein transferred to Missouri Western State University for his final season. He set an NCAA Division II record by making 21 consecutive field goals. Overall, he made 23 of 24 field-goal attempts and nine of his makes were from longer than 50 yards.

The St. Louis Rams selected him in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Zuerlein set a team record by making a 60-yard field goal. He set another team record in a 2017 game when he went 7-7 on field goals. That effort earned him NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. Zuerlein was also named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month in October for his exploits. He parlayed his strong performance that season into being named to his first Pro Bowl. Zuerlein made over 200 field goals during his first eight seasons with the Rams before joining the Dallas Cowboys in 2020. He hit a personal-best 41 field goals for the Cowboys his first season and made over 82% of his kicks during his two years in Dallas. Zuerlein joined the Jets in 2022.
