Golden Tate

Prior to joining the Seattle Seahawks as a 2nd round draft pick in 2010 Golden Tate was a star baseball and football player at Notre Dame.  Along with impressing major league scouts on the diamond he dazzled NFL general managers by posting 2,707 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns on 157 receptions for the Irish on the football field during his three years in South Bend.  In 2009 Tate scored 17 times in route to earning unanimous All-American honors and the Fred Biletnikoff Award, presented to the nation’s top collegiate wide receiver. 

Although he was selected twice in the MLB Draft, Tate decided his future was as a football player and he could not have been more right.  After joining the Seahawks in 2010 he became one of their go to guys, scoring 15 touchdowns over the next four seasons and helping them to a Super Bowl championship in 2013.  In 2014 he signed a five year-deal with the Detroit Lions, teaming up with quarterback Matthew Stafford.  He was named to the Pro Bowl in his first season, recording career-highs with 99 catches with 1,331 yards. Tate spent parts of five seasons with the Lions and recorded two more 1,000-yard seasons. He ended the 2018 campaign with the Philadelphia Eagles before signing with the Giants in the offseason.
