About Gary Zimmerman
Gary Zimmerman is a former offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Express, Minnesota Viking and Denver Broncos. Zimmerman attended the University of Oregon where he played football for the Ducks and he was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. The Los Angeles Express selected Zimmerman in the 2nd round as the 36th overall pick in the 1984 USFL Collegiate Draft. Zimmerman signed with the Express on February 13, 1984 and played in 17 games that season. In August 1986, the USFL folded and the New York Giants selected Zimmerman in the 1984 NFL Supplemental Draft of USFL and CLF Players, but they gave his rights to the Minnesota Vikings. In 1993, Zimmerman left the Vikings to play for the Denver Broncos. He was a part of the team’s first Super Bowl winning-squad. In his career, he has been a 7x Pro Bowl selection, 5x First-team All-Pro selection, 3x Second-team All-Pro selection, 2x All-USFL selection and Morris Trophy winner in 1983.
