About Fred VanVleet
Fred VanVleet is a point guard for the Houston Rockets. VanVleet became the quintessential undrafted player success story during his seven seasons with the Toronto Raptors. VanVleet became an NBA champion in 2019 and then averaged 20 points per game while becoming a first-time All-Star in 2022.
Before entering the NBA, VanVleet had a banner collegiate career at Wichita State. For the Shockers, he was a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and three-time Associated Press honorable mention All-American. He was also a three-time All-MVC first-team player. Wichita State had one of the best stretches in program history during his tenure. They went to the Final Four when VanVleet was a freshman and had an undefeated regular season the following year. He left school as WSU's all-time leader in assists. VanVleet was undrafted in 2016 but found a home with the Raptors. He has spent time in the NBA Development League with Raptors 905 as well.
