Frankie Dettori

Frankie Dettori is a horse racing jockey and celebrity. Dettori’s first experience was at age 12 when his father bought him a Palomino pony. At 13, Dettori left school to be a stable boy and apprentice jockey. Dettori became the first teenager since Lester Piggott to ride 100 winners in a season in 1990. He received his first win at 16 during November 1986. At the Ascot Racecourse, Dettori won all seven races on September 28, 1996. On December 29, 2000, Dettori received an honorary MBE. Dettori became the British Champion Jockey in 2004. During November 2012, Dettori faced an inquiry following a failed drug test while riding in September. In December 2012, he was suspended from riding for six months after being found guilty for using cocaine. Dettori was the fifth to be evicted on the eleventh series of the British reality show, Celebrity Big Brother in January 2013. Dettori won the British flat racing Champion Jockey in 1994, 1995, and 2004.
