About Felix Potvin
Felix Potvin is a former National Hockey League goaltender. In 1990, the Toronto Maple Leafs drafted Potvin in the second round as the 31st overall pick. During the 1991-92 season, Potvin played for the St. John’s Maple Leafs where he was awarded the Dudley “Red” Garrett Memorial Award and the Baz Bastien Memorial Trophy. While playing in the minors, Potvin was called up to the NHL for four games. It was not until the 1992-93 season that Potvin became a regular in the majors. That season he played 48 games and was named the Maple Leafs #1 goaltender; he also helped the team make it to the Stanley Cup Conference Finals. The following year, Potvin was voted to his first NHL All-Star game. During the 1995-96 season, Potvin was again voted to the NHL All-Star game. Potvin was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 1997 where he struggled and in the 2000-01 season he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings. He helped the Kings get to the playoffs in 2002. In 2003, Potvin signed a one-year contract with the Boston Bruins and that would be the last season he played.

Hockey Speakers
Hockey stars lay their bodies on the line and they are universally respected for their toughness. The NHL has brought a significant level of exposure to these athletes’ impressive feats. Hockey speakers are also some of the humblest athletes to work with and they are great for corporate groups, charities, universities, faith-based groups, and other organizations. The way that the best hockey speakers connect with audiences on important subjects like teamwork, leadership, and overcoming adversity, makes them valuable for any in-person or virtual event.
