About Edwin Encarnacion
Edwin Encarnacion is one of the most feared power hitters in baseball. The three-time All-Star originally blossomed into a star with the Toronto Blue Jays. His breakout season was 2012 when Encarnacion hit .280 with 42 home runs and 110 RBI. Since, he has hit at least 30 homers each season. In his final year with Toronto, Encarnacion led the American League in RBI. He went on to sign with the Cleveland Indians. After two years in Cleveland, Encarnacion split the 2019 season between the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees. In the offseason, he signed a one-year deal with the Chicago White Sox. Encarnacion played the first five seasons with the Cincinnati Reds. He was originally drafted in the ninth round of the 2000 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers. Encarnacion also represented the Dominican Republic in their gold medal run at the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
