About Earnest Graham
As Floridas Mr. Football in 1997, Earnest Graham was already in the national spotlight as a high school senior. Graham selected to stay near home and play football for Steve Spurrier at the University of Florida. Despite a few injury plagued seasons with the Gators, Graham was still able to perform at a high level and finished his career top-5 in 5 different UF career rushing records. Despite his impressive college career, Graham went undrafted to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002 and only saw the field on special teams until 2007. In 2007, due to a series of injuries in the Bucs backfield, Graham finally got his opportunity and started for the final 13 games of the season, putting up 898 rushing yards in that time. The seasons after, Graham switched to fullback in a role that used him primarily as a blocker, until 2011 when he got another shot to play running back. Unfortunately the next week, Graham suffered a career ending injury and finished his NFL career with just over 2,000 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
