About Dominique Moceanu
Dominique Moceanu was a member of the famed 1996 Olympic gymnastics team that captured the Gold Medal for the USA in Atlanta. Although she was an instrumental member of “Magnificent Seven”, she was also a highly successful individual gymnast. IN 1995 she won the All-Around gold at the U.S. Senior Championships at the age of 14 and then went on to win gold in the balance beam and on the vault in 1998. At the 1998 Goodwill Games she became the first American to earn a gold medal in the all-around, and would go on to win seven additional medals at international events around the world until retiring in 2000. Outside of gymnastics she was a public icon and an American hero. As the last gymnast to compete in the Olympic Games at age 14 she was very young when she left the spotlight but remained active in the community, lending her hand to amazing causes with the mission to improve the lives of people around the country she proudly represented on an international stage.
