About Devin Hester
When it comes to versatility in the NFL, Devin Hester is the man. When he played for the Miami Hurricanes in college he proved to be quite the asset on the field, becoming the only player in modern college football history to play on offense, defense and special teams. He brought that versatility to the NFL in 2006 as a 2nd round pick of the Chicago Bears. During his first eight seasons with the Bears he became known as the “Windy City Flyer” and broke the NFL record for kicks returned for a touchdown in a season with six in 2007. In 2013 he had a career year returning kicks, posting 1,436 yards with a 27.6-yard average. The Atlanta Falcons brought his skills to their franchise in 2014, signing him to a three-year $9 million contract. He is one of the fastest players in league history and racked up 20 special teams touchdowns over the course of his illustrious career.
