Deshea Townsend

Deshea Townsend knows his stuff when it comes to playing the cornerback position.  During his college days he was a standout corner at the University of Alabama and went on to have a long and successful 12-year career in the NFL.  He joined the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1998 and was a consistent performer for the next 11 seasons, helping the franchise to two Super Bowl championships in 2006 and 2009.  In 2010 he made his way to Indianapolis, where he finished his career with 369 total tackles, 15.5 sacks and 21 interceptions.  When his playing career came to an end he became a highly sought after coach due to his knowledge and ability to teach the game.  In 2011 the Arizona Cardinals hired him to coach their defensive backs as an assistant to Ray Horton.  During his time in Arizona their defensive backs were among the best in the league.  In 2013 he headed back to his roots in the SEC, joining the coaching staff at Mississippi State University.  He has gone on to coach defensive backs for several teams.
