About Derrick Rodgers
Derrick Rodgers love for the game of football was fostered as a youngster. Later in his life that love bloomed into a successful pro career in the National Football League. Prior to making his NFL dreams come true he was a consensus First-Team All-American defensive lineman at Arizona State University. In 1997 Rodgers joined the Miami Dolphins as a 3rd round pick and played with the Dolphins from 1997 to 2002. After the 2002 season he made his way to New Orleans and finished his career with the Saints. When all was said and done Rodgers had accumulated 507 tackles to go along with nine sacks and four interceptions. In 2012 the Miami Dolphins named him as one of the top 100 players in their franchise history, earning the No. 64 spot on their coveted list.
