About Deron Cherry
Deron Cherry was a dominant safety who spent his entire career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Cherry made six straight Pro Bowls from 1983-88 and was an All-Pro on five occasions. He had tremendous success in the NFL, earning a spot on the 1980s All-Decade Team despite going undrafted out of Rutgers. Cherry was also known for his efforts off the field, earning the "Whizzer" White NFL Man of the Year Award in 1988. He still runs his charitable foundation in the Greater Kansas City area today. Cherry is also a member of the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame.
