Dennis Erickson

Dennis Erickson is one of the great coaches in the game of football. Since starting his coaching career in 1969 as an assistant at Montana State he has coached at both the college and professional levels and gained over 40 years worth of knowledge. From 1969 to 1981 he served as an assistant at Montana State, Idaho, Fresno State and San Jose before earning his first head-coaching gig at Idaho in 1982. From 1982 to 1988 he served as the head coach at Idaho, Wyoming and Washington State before being hired at the University of Miami. While coaching the Hurricanes he led them to two NCAA National Championships in 1989 and 1991 before heading to the NFL as the new head coach for the Seattle Seahawks in 1995. After three years in the NFL he returned to the college game as the head coach for the Oregon State Beavers and led them to a Pac-10 Championship in 2000. After another stint in the NFL as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers fro 2003 to 2004 he returned to the college game for good as the head coach at Arizona State. During his five seasons at ASU he led them to a Pac-10 Championship in 2007. His last coaching job in college football came at the University of Utah. During his decorated career he has been named National Coach of the Year twice in 1992 and 2000 and earned Pac- 10 Caoch of the Year and Big East Coach of the Year honors three times.
