About DeLisha Milton-Jones
DeLisha Milton-Jones is a Riceboro, Georgia native and is currently playing for her home state Atlanta Dream in the WNBA as of 2014. Milton-Jones got her start in the WNBA when the Los Angeles Sparks selected her in the first round of the 1999 WNBA Draft out of the University of Florida. While playing at Florida she led the Gators to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and earned first team All-American honors in 1997. That same year she garnered SEC Player of the Year honors and won the Wade Trophy as the best collegiate basketball player in the nation. Her performance at UF earned her induction into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007. During her time in the WNBA she has played with the Sparks, Mystics, Silver Stars, Liberty and Dream and earned three All-Star appearances in 2000, 2004 and 2007. In 2001 and 2002 she led the Sparks to backto-back WNBA Championships. She has also represented the United States at two Olympic Games and won golds at both the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
