About David Bednar
David Bednar became one of the best closers in baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bednar earned back-to-back All-Star nominations in 2022 and 2023. He also helped Team USA to a silver medal at the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Bednar is a Pittsburgh native who played at Lafayette College, but was originally selected by the San Diego Padres in the 35th round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut with the Padres in 2019.
