About Dante Bichette
Dante Bichette is a former MLB outfielder who played 13 seasons in the league with five different teams. Drafted directly out of high school by the California Angels in the 1984 MLB Draft, Bichette made his MLB debut with the Angels in 1988. Known as an inconsistent hitter, Bichette was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in 1991, but was traded to the Colorado Rockies just two years later. Bichette would have the best seasons of his career with the Rockies, earning four All Star bids and a Silver Slugger award in his six seasons with the team. To this day, Bichette still ranks in the top ten of most Rockies offensive categories, making him one of the best hitters in the franchise’s short history. In 2000 Bichette played for the Cincinnati Reds, eventually finishing his career with the Boston Red Sox in 2001. Over his 13 seasons, Bichette hit .299 with 274 homeruns and 1,141 RBI. After a brief stint as the Rockies hitting coach in 2012, Bichette officially retired completely from the game, and is now focused on his sons own major league career.
