About Damian Lillard
Damian Lillard is one of the great guards of his generation. Lillard currently stars for the team that originally draftedted him, the Portland Trail Blazers. Coming out of high school, Lillard was not considered a top prospect, eventually signing with Weber State University in 2008. Lillard rose to national fame at WSU, winning multiple awards including an All American honor and two Big Sky Player of the Year award. Widely considered to be the best point guard prospect in the country, Lillard decided to forego his final season at WSU to enter the 2012 NBA Draft.
After being selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the sixth overall pick, Lillard would go on to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award, averaging 19 points and 6.5 assists in his rookie season. Lillard really blossomed in 2014, leading the Trail Blazers in scoring and bringing them to the NBA Playoffs where he hit his famous buzzer-beating shot in game six to send the Trail Blazers to the next round. Truly a phenomenal player, Lillard is just starting to hit his prime, and is certainly one of the best point guards in the NBA.
