D.J. LeMahieu Biography

DJ LeMahieu is a second baseman for the Colorado Rockies. LeMahieu has become one of the best hitters in the game and was named an All-Star in 2015 and 2017. In 2016, he led the major leagues with a .348 batting average and finished 15th in National League MVP voting. LeMahieu also won a Gold Glove in 2014. The Chicago Cubs originally selected him in the second round of the 2009 MLB Draft. He debuted in the big leagues with the Cubs in 2011 before being traded to the Rockies. Prior to having success in the pros, LeMahieu was a college baseball star at LSU. He helped the Tigers win the 2009 College World Series and was a member of the All-Tournament Team.
