Curtis Painter

Curtis Painter is a former NFL quarterback. He was first selected by the Indianapolis Colts in 2009. Leading up to his professional debut, Painter was an Illinois native growing up the mid 1980’s and early 1990’s. He excelled in football, baseball, and basketball throughout his high school years, becoming a finalist on the Mr. Football ballot in Illinois. Painter then went on to attend Purdue University, where he was redshirted as a freshman. Painter then became the Boiler’s starting quarterback for the majority of his sophomore year and the entirety of his junior and senior years. He graduated with a degree in computer graphics technology and out of college, was rated as the thirteenth-best quarterback in the 2009 NFL Draft. Although the Indianapolis Colts scooped him up that year, he only stayed with them for a short three seasons before being traded to the Baltimore Ravens. He also played for the New York Giants for two seasons.
