About Corey Knebel
Corey Knebel is a successful major league pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. He originally came to prominence with the Texas Longhorns. As a freshman, he tied a Longhorns single-season record with 19 saves. the NBCWA and Collegiate Baseball Magazine named him Freshman of the Year. He was also named a first-team All-American and first-team All-Big 12 pick. He was also a first-team All-Big 12 selection as a sophomore. The Detroit Tigers made him the 39th overall pick of the 2013 MLB Draft. He made his big league a year later with the Tigers and was subsequently traded to the Texas Rangers. That offseason, he was dealt to the Brewers. In June 2017 Knebel set a major league record with 38 straight appearances with at least one strikeout. He also made the All-Star team in his first season at Milwaukee's closer.
