Chris Leak Biography

From 2003-2006, Chris Leak could be found under center in the blue and orange uniform of the Florida Gators. As a talented freshman Leak quickly earned the starting job after a few games and never looked back. Despite having 3 offensive coordinators in his first 3 years alone, Leak had the football knowledge to continue to learn new systems and succeed on the field. Touted as a Heisman hopeful going into his senior season, Leak helped lead the gators to an SEC Championship and the BCS National Championship with 2,942 passing yards on the season, bringing his career total to 11,213. Leak went undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft but spent the preseason as a member of the Chicago Bears. Following his short NFL stint, he spent several seasons in the Canadian Football League and Arena Football League before hanging up the cleats and picking up a clipboard as an assistant coach for his alma mater.
