Butch Lumpkin

Butch Lumpkin was born with what he calls short arms.  However, due to a birth defect he has no real function with either of his arms, but he has never used that as an excuse for not achieving his dreams in sports.  When he was growing up in Atlanta, Georgia he played soccer and eventually earned a scholarship to play both soccer and tennis at Mercer University.   Although tennis was a tough sport for him to play he flourished, and with his strong faith in Jesus Christ he believed he could do anything he set his mind to.  After college he earned his certification by the United States Professional Tennis Association and would go on to have a successful career as a club pro in the state of Georgia.  One day Butch was told that the sport of golf would be impossible for him due to his arms, and he set out to prove them wrong.  Using a 63 inch driver he has become a great golfer and served as an inspiration to thousands who once believed they could not do something.  Currently he travels the country with the faith based message that nothing is out of reach with God at your side and belief in yourself.
