About Bubby Brister
Bubby Brister is a native of Alexandria, Louisiana and played his college ball at Tulane University. Prior to joining the Tulane Green Wave on the football field he was selected in the fourth round of the 1981 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers and played 39 games in the minors. After a standout career at Tulane he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as a third round pick in 1986 and played the first six seasons of his career in Pittsburgh. He’d go on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets before landing with the Denver Broncos and helping them to back-to-back Super Bowl titles in 1998 and 1999. After the 1999 season he joined the Minnesota Vikings and retired as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2000. After his retirement he joined the Fox Sports team as an analyst and also became a co-host on The Outdoor Channel. In 2005 he signed on to join the staff at Hunter’s Specialties, which produces hunting and fishing adventure videos.
