About Brian Newberry
Brian Newberry had a coaching career entirely on the defensive side of the ball before becoming the head coach at Navy. Newberry served as the Midshipmen's defensive coordinator from 2019-22. That post was his first on the FBS level after working his way up the coaching ranks following a playing career at Baylor. Newberry made stops along the way at Southern Arkansas, Washington & Lee, Lehigh, Elon, the University of the South, Northern Michigan and Kennesaw State.
