About Brian McBride
Brian McBride is a former American soccer forward and current executive. A two-time All-American at Saint Louis University, he was the first overall pick in the 1996 MLS Inaugural Draft and starred for the Columbus Crew (62 goals in 161 games), Fulham in the Premier League (41 goals in five seasons), and briefly the Chicago Fire. He earned 95–96 caps for the U.S. men’s national team, scoring 30 goals, finishing as one of the all-time top scorers. McBride appeared in three FIFA World Cups (1998, 2002, 2006), scoring in two of them. He also won the 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2014, he later served as USMNT General Manager (2020–2022) and was appointed General Manager of Brooklyn FC for both their men's and women’s clubs in October 2025 ahead of their 2026 USL Championship debut.
