About Claudio Reyna
Claudio Reyna is a retired soccer player and former executive widely regarded as one of the greatest U.S. midfielders of all time. Known for his vision, passing, and leadership, he starred for clubs across Europe, including Bayer Leverkusen and VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, Rangers in the Scottish Premier League, Sunderland and Manchester City in the Premier League, and later captained the New York Red Bulls in MLS until retiring in 2008. Reyna earned 112 caps for the United States men's national team from 1994 to 2006, appearing in four FIFA World Cups (1994, 1998, 2002, 2006). His highlight came in 2002, when he helped the U.S. reach the quarterfinals and earned a spot on the tournament's Best XI. Post-retirement, he served as technical director for New York City FC and as sporting director of Austin FC, staying on as a technical advisor.
