About Brian Cashman
Brian Cashman is the general manager and senior vice president of the New York Yankees. He is one of the most respected executives in baseball. Cashman has served in the role since 1998 and the franchise has won four World Series titles under his watch. He has been with the Yankees since he joined as an intern in 1986. In 1992, Cashman was promoted to assistant general manager. He is known for major acquisitions like trades for superstars Roger Clemens and Alex Rodriguez. Cashman attended The Catholic University of America and played college baseball. He set a school record for hits that has since been broken. Cashman is a member of the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame.
