About Brad Davis
Brad Davis might as well be known as Mr. Maverick. Davis was on the inaugural Dallas Mavericks roster and spent the final 12 seasons of his playing career with the team. For his pioneering efforts with the franchise, his #15 jersey was retired. During his first five seasons in Dallas, Davis averaged double digits in scoring. Originally, the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him in the 1977 first round out of Maryland. He played for a variety of teams before finding his home in Dallas. Today, Davis remains with the franchise serving as the television analyst, player development coach, and community ambassador. As a team official, he has gotten to see the rise of the Mavs from a once-moribund franchise to 2011 NBA Champions.
