About Bobby Rahal
Bobby Rahal was one of the top Indy Car racers on the circuit during his 17-year career from 1982 to 1998. After making his race debut at the 1982 Indianapolis 500 he won 24 races and notched 88 podiums in 266 career races. His most notable win came at the 1986 Indianapolis 500, which he considers his greatest accomplishment as a driver after winning three PPG Indy Car World Series championships in 1986, 1987 and 1992. During his career he raced for Truesports, Kraco, Galles-Kraco, Rahal-Hogan and Team Rahal race teams and became one of the top Indy Car drivers in history. In 1991 he entered the ownership world and went on to join the Jaguar Formula One team as a manager in 2000, and also serve as the interim President and CEO of CART during that same year. Rahal is a member of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, Motorsports Hall of Fame of America and SCCAA Hall of Fame.
