Blaine Wilson

Blaine Wilson is a retired American gymnast. As an energetic child, Blaine’s father got him started in gymnastics when he was four years old. Since then he has gone on to be a part of three different Olympic Teams in 1996, 2000, and in 2004 when he won the silver medal in the team competition. Prior to competing in various World Championship events and the Olympic Games, Wilson competed in college for the Ohio State University where he won the Big Ten Athlete of the Year Award as well as the Nissen Award. Wilson became the first man to win five consecutive national titles since USA Gymnastics was named the sports’ national governing body, and he also became the third man to win five consecutive U.S. all-around title in gymnastics history. Wilson announced his retirement from the sport in 2008 during the first night of competition at the Men’s USA Championships.
