Bill Schuffenhauer

Three-time U.S. Olympic bobsledder Bill Schuffenhauer won silver medals while turning his difficult childhood of homelessness and poverty into a remarkable story of survival and success. Bill Schuffenhauer entered the world on June 24, 1973, in Salt Lake City, Utah, during a time when his mother struggled with addiction and he moved between different foster care facilities. Through his maternal grandmother Sadie Muniz he discovered stability and inspiration which motivated him to continue his education and athletic pursuits.

Bill started his Olympic journey through decathlon and football before discovering bobsledding. Bill discovered bobsledding in 2000 when he watched U.S. team practice at Park City after his track career ended due to an ankle injury. The coaches saw his athletic ability so they asked him to join the team as a pusher. The 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics marked Bill's participation in the four-man team which brought the first U.S. Olympic bobsled medal in 46 years by winning silver. The 2006 Torino and 2010 Vancouver Games followed his Olympic participation where he placed 13th in the four-man event.

Bill Schuffenhauer dedicates his life to motivational speaking while serving as an elite leadership coach and entrepreneur. Through more than 2000 international events he tells his life story to motivate people toward overcoming obstacles while reaching their targets. Through his leadership roles he serves as managing partner and Chief Global Officer of Strategic Partnerships for two technology companies MetricsEngine.com and OvationVOS.com.

Bill lives with his two children Skyy Belle and Corben in Utah. Through his life story he actively supports his community while helping people create a life they truly love.
