Ben Witter

Ben Witter was a three-time NCAA All-American golfer at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and went on to win two NCAA National Long Drive Championships before he turned pro. In 1988 he was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo a comprehensive treatment to defeat the disease. During that time he was forced to stay inside, but developed an impressive repertoire of trick shots that he practiced in his hospital room. Eventually he recovered and began his trek back onto the golf course as a professional trick shot player. Over the last two decades he has become one of the top trick shot artists in the world, heading to long drive competitions and golf outings around the country to entertain golf crowds and fans alike. In 1994 he earned the CCCPGA’s PGA Professional of the Year Award for his ability to teach tour professionals his unique philosophy of the power sources that make up the golf swing. In 2005 he earned a spot in the World Golf Trickshot Championship and finished first in technical merit and 3rd place overall. He has also not forgotten about the epic battle he fought against cancer. Witter often appears at charity events that benefit cancer research and once played 306 golf holes in a day to benefit this cause.
