About Bart Conner
Bart Conner was a two-time Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics at the 1984 Olympics. Conner was a member of the winning U.S. team and also took home individual gold on the parallel bars. In addition to his success in 1984, he was a Team USA member for the 1976 and 1980 Olympics. Conner also won the 1979 World Championship for parallel bars. He is a member of the Olympic Committee Hall of Fame, USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, International Gymnastics Hall of Fame, and Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. At the University of Oklahoma, Conner won the Nissen Award as the nation’s best male gymnast. Conner began his gymnastics training at age ten. He is married to gold medalist Nadia Comaneci. The duo lives in Norman, Oklahoma and own and operate the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Conner is a longtime supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and vice-chair of the Special Olympics International Board of Directors.
