About Barry Horowitz
Barry Horowitz had a 22-year wrestling career spread mostly across the World Wrestling Federation, World Championship Wrestling, and the Global Wrestling Federation. Horowitz actually got his start in smaller independent promotions in Florida in 1979. His gimmick in wrestling was mostly as an enhancement talent pegged to lose to popular up and coming fighters. Some consider him the best “jobber” in wrestling history. Horowitz’s pre-fight pat on the back became his signature. During Horowitz’s three-year run in GWF, he was twice named Light Heavyweight Champion. Upon his early 90s return to the WWF, his underdog status made him a hit with the fans. Horowitz is a graduate of Florida State, where he studied sports nutrition. He currently lives in Brandon, Florida and is a consultant for a sports-nutrition company.
