About Anthony Spencer
Anthony Spencer is retired defensive end/linebacker that had a nine-year NFL career. Spencer had his best season in 2012, recording 11 sacks and leading the Cowboys with 95 tackles. He was the only NFL player with 90 plus tackles and ten plus sacks. Spencer originally became a starter in 2008 and had 98 tackles with six sacks. He was originally selected out of Purdue in 2007 NFL Draft 1st round. For the Boilermakers, Spencer ranks fifth in program history with 21 sacks. As a defensive co-captain his senior season, he compiled 26.5 tackles for loss, which was the second most nationally. Spencer was recruited out of Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a two-time All-State selection and the Indianapolis Star Defensive Lineman of the Year as a senior.
